Giving a voice to those impacted by chronic pain

ADVOCACY

If you feel you have been mistreated by the healthcare profession while seeking help with your chronic pain, you likely have no idea where to turn, or what to do.  We are here to help and guild you through the process of standing up for your rights.  We also work hard to protect the rights, interests and resources for chronic pain patients across Alberta, so if you recognize a region, or resource that we should be speaking up for let us know.

Some times advocacy is all about mediation and if you are in a situation that you feel could benefit from this type of help, our team is eager to talk with you.

Life is hard enough when you deal with pain everyday.  Sometimes dealing with the medical profession can feel like you have no voice, no one cares, and you have no energy left to speak out about it.  This is why our work as provincial advocates work is important.  we are always happy to discuss it.

CHRONIC PAIN COSTS FAR TOO MUCH

Let's work together to improve the way that we treat chronic pain in Alberta, and stop running up a bill that no one can afford!

Those of us that suffer with chronic pain know all to well the price we pay in our lives.  Our families are taxed by the stresses that our suffering places on them.  Communities lose potentially valuable members whose value can not be easily measured.  Doctors faced with a complex and challenging patient are overwhelmed by the emotional, financial and potential professional costs that are adding up in their clinics.  Our health care system, which is ill equipped to deal with the needs of a large province faced with a growing financial burden of poorly managed chronic pain.

IT IS TIME TO TAKE A NEW APPROACH AND CREATE A PLAN THAT WILL EASE SUFFERING, IMPROVE CARE, EDUCATE THOSE WHO ARE IMPACTED, AND BEGIN A CONVERSATION THAT WILL BRING HOPE BACK TO THOSE DEALING WITH CHRONIC PAIN!
